If you’ve got a Dinosaur fan then
this is definitely a toy that should be on their Christmas wish list this year!
We were sent a Stegosaurus Dinosaur DNA kit to review and both children thought
it was fantastic. The kits rrp is £14.99 but on offer at £9.99 there’s even
more reason to snap one up for Christmas from Ryman Stationary. *Click here to
have a little look for yourself* They also have two other dinosaurs – why not
collect the set over time?
Age wise it’s aimed at 8+ but Oliver
is 7 and it was perfect for him, the instructions were clear but he did need
some help to put it all together and obviously take photos!
The block of clay proved a little
difficult to get into so Michael had to help – he didn’t mind and thought it
was a pretty cool toy. It’s also good that it’s not quick to do because it
makes the experience last longer. I’m a little bit silly and didn’t have any
newspaper to hand so we had a lot to clean up afterwards! Oopsy. Make sure you’ve
got some old newspaper or something that can keep your house clean because it
does get very messy with this.
With our kit we discovered 9 pieces
of dinosaur plus the DNA code, after helping the children put the dinosaur
together it was time to use the interactive play mat – you need to download the
app Dinocodes which is free via Apple store or Google play. The App is very easy to use, we were able to release our dinosaur out of the playmat very quickly and we were all impressed with this toy. Both children loved taking photos and Oliver really enjoyed learning interesting facts about dinosaurs. The app is full of
fun facts and was pretty cool… have a look at our photos to see for yourself.
I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest this
kit to anyone looking for Christmas gifts with children around Oliver’s age.
Isabelle loved it too and thought it was very exciting they were allowed to
make such a mess.

*Please note, we were sent this set for the purpose of this review but all of the opinions are my own*
